Abstrakt: Resource management represents one of the basic pillars of the successful functioning of all organizations, including organizations ensuring the security and defence of states. From the point of view of the fulfilment of tasks in this extremely important area, resource management serves primarily as a tool for the effective, economical, purposeful and effective use of available resources for the fulfilment of tasks aimed at ensuring the security and defence of the freedom, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state and its interests, and also the protection of its citizens, their rights, property, environment, etc. Since the management of resources in the area of ensuring the security and defence of the state is not only very important, but also a very sensitive topic - especially in today's era characterized by a significantly deteriorated security environment and a deteriorated security situation in our immediate and distant surroundings - it represents a really big challenge at the moment. Therefore, the aim of the author of this paper, using relevant scientific methods and approaches within the framework of interdisciplinary research, is to contribute to the ongoing scientific and professional debate regarding challenges in the field of resource management in ensuring the security and defence of the state.

Abstrakt: This contribution deals with the analysis of economic determinants that affect the military expenditures of the Slovak Republic in the period from 2000 to 2023. The primary objective is to identify the main macroeconomic factors, such as gross domestic product (GDP), public finance deficit, inflation rate and unemployment, which shape the amount of expenditure allocated to defence. The author examines the relationship between the development of these indicators and defense spending, pointing out the fundamental impact of global security threats, as well as economic and financial crises, which led to significant changes in the allocation of financial resources. At the same time, the article analyzes the long-term commitment of the Slovak Republic within the framework of the North Atlantic Alliance to achieve a set defense expenditure of 2% of GDP and evaluates the achievements in fulfilling this goal. The results show that economic factors, including GDP growth and the development of public finances, have a significant impact on the state's ability to finance defense, but in times of crisis events, the need to strengthen defense plays a decisive role.

Abstrakt: This paper will describe some modern additive manufacturing technologies and their potential applications and own related experiences, with a special focus on their use in the field of military logistics. It also will present 3D metal printing using ADAM technology, its application possibilities, the possibility and advantages of producing closed internal structures and cells, and the printability of high melting point metals. It will describe some of the options for printing composite plastic parts with combined chopped and continuous fibre reinforcement filament. The paper also presents the research results related to additive manufacturing technology achieved in the 3D printing laboratories of the Department of Military Technology, Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training, University of Public Service.

Abstrakt: This paper deals with the definition and aspects of crises, emphasizing their impact on the mental health of individuals, especially professional soldiers. Crises are complex and require an individual approach to solving them. Protective factors such as social support and professional help can mitigate the negative effects on the psychological health of individuals experiencing challenging life situations. The paper deals with various aspects of loss and its psychological, social, and emotional impact. He divided losses into several categories: functional loss, relational loss, intrapsychic loss, role loss and systemic loss. Each of these losses affects different areas of the individual's life and has its characteristics and consequences. The conclusion of your analysis emphasizes the importance of solving difficult life situations and the need for professional intervention if natural sources of support fail. You refer to coping strategies, defense mechanisms, and the importance of social support, suggesting that psychological and social support are key to coping with these situations.

Abstrakt: The author of the article states the conditioning factors that affect the quality of education of the rank and file corps of officers. It focuses on specific military skills such as military logistics and command skills. The article uses the obtained statistical data together with the author's empirical findings. The article will point out the weaker areas of officer education, which, after removal, could lead to the optimization of the officer education process.
