Abstrakt: The ambition of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic in terms of the Long-term Plan for the Development of the Department of the Ministry of Defence with a view to 2035 is to increase the number of professional soldiers in the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. In order to fulfil this ambition, there is only one state military college in Slovakia – the Academy of the Armed Forces of General Milan Rastislav Stefanik – as part of ensuring the training of Ministry of Defence personnel in
the field of defence and security. It is important and necessary to deal with the presented ambition of the Ministry from the point of view of increasing the number of personnel of the Academy of Armed Forces, which is currently undersized. The aim of the presented analysis is to point out the steady increase in the number of cadets of the Academy of the Armed Forces for several years, compared to the long-term stagnation of the number of university teachers, whose mission is to fulfil tasks in the field of education and professional growth of professional soldiers.

Abstrakt: Leadership has multiple styles that leaders can employ and apply to the situations and areas in which they operate. However, the leadership style of people may be different in the case when leadership takes place in dangerous situations. Professional military personnel may be exposed to stress due to the exercise of their profession, which they must process through appropriate practices. The role of commanders in such a case lies in the correct attitude towards their subordinates. With an appropriate approach and management of the load, the leader can contribute to achieving personal satisfaction and life fulfillment of himself and his subordinates.

Abstrakt: This academic paper discusses the proposed development of a new textbook and workbook designed for cadets at the Armed Forces Academy of General M. R. Štefánik. These future educational materialsaim to address the unique needs of cadets by integrating their roles as students, soldiers, and individuals. These educational materials will reflect cadets' everyday lives and challenges, preparing them for their military careers through a familiar and engaging approach. The development process will involve close cooperation with School units, incorporating photographs and tasks from military program exercises. The resources will align with STANAG 6001 standards, including customized tests, to ensure high proficiency in English for joint military operations with NATO partners. Their versatility will allow them to be used in other English language courses offered by the Language Institute of the Slovak Armed Forces. This comprehensive approach aims to bridge the gap between general English proficiency and specific military communication requirements, fostering both academic and professional growth for future military leaders.

Abstrakt: Recruitment to the armed forces requires a systematic approach from the Personnel Office of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. The personnel office is primarily assisted by its recruitment centers, which carry out recruitment activities mainly at public social events. The main attraction, in the case of recruitment, is a lifelong profession, which includes social security, career growth, but also economic reward. Stabilization of personnel is subsequently carried out by the same means as
creating suitable conditions and a working environment. However, these resources are influenced by several factors that need to be identified and subsequently minimized their impact on the performance and motivation of professional soldiers. In the paper we focused on the stabilization of personnel and the factors that influence it in the graduates of University Graduates Officers' Course organized by the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš.
