Abstrakt: Ensuring the security and defence of each state is limited by the resources available to that state. Ensuring the security and defence of the state thus has a clear economic dimension in addition to political, social, and other dimensions. The performance of the state's economy determines the state's possibilities primarily in the field of building and forming the armed forces, armed security forces, rescue and other units and institutions, their structure, quantitative and qualitative level of personnel, quantity and quality of weapons and equipment, training, special professional preparation, material and technical support, possibilities and ways of building the security and defence system of the state, etc. For this reason, the aim of the author of the paper, using relevant methods of scientific research, is to point out the importance and significance of the economic aspects of ensuring the security and defence of the state.

Abstrakt: Education, as a complex system, is an integral part of every society, state. The intelligence and scope of education focuses on the specifics and needs of society or organizations. The education of military personnel brings certain specifics in the education procedures and the necessary material and technical provision, without which it is not possible to adequately prepare a professional soldier for service in the armed forces. With our contribution, we want to point out the importance of military education in the field of military logistics. In our case, we will focus on the shortcomings that we are currently encountering and partial proposals for their solution.

Abstrakt: The provision of the catering service is an important link in the material security chain of members of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, which takes place on a daily base. The current trend of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic is to return the catering service to the competencies of military units and thus ensure the provision of this service anywhere and at any time for the benefit of fulfilling the tasks of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. The aim of the article is to highlight the current state of catering provision in the units and departments of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic. The current state is analyzed in terms of the legislative framework, the organization of catering, the state of personnel, the state of armament (equipment), material and the state of the infrastructure.
