Abstrakt: Manifestations of the new professional need for human resource management are beginning to be partially manifested in the concepts of leadership, talent development, or diversity management. The function of human resources in military organizations will participate significantly more in added value of the 21st century. The author's effort is to bring the public in this area closer to the issue of leadership from a psychological point of view as part of the effective leadership of people in the 21st century. Therefore, the military environment, like many other work environments, is currently becoming the subject of introducing the use of the creation of competency models. Their use is a prerequisite for a sufficient analysis of professional higher education and career education in the field of leadership.

Abstrakt: We can look at extremism in relation - or directly - in the Slovak Armed Forces (SAF) from several perspectives. However, at this time there is interesting insight through the prism of not exclusively ideological or sympathetic intrusions into political parties with at least questionable platform of establishment, staffing with a very disturbing past and 're-staffing', resp. recruiting official supporters on the verge of influencing. Unprecedented signals are penetrating society with the message that (recent) military leaders are somehow connected to the political groups acting on the verge of extremism at least because of their activities in the past. Not entirely answered is what the latent or semi-latent level of extremism of individuals in the Slovak Armed Forces offer.

Abstrakt: The study deals with this particular form of the career choice decision along the lines of the career motivation of military officers entering the military in the 1980s. In the course of our research, we conducted life course interviews with ten former military officers, whose processing was carried out with the help of the identification of typologizable patterns of behavior in the given life situation. The majority of young people who choose a military career are already attracted to this profession in their elementary school years. However, another part of them only becomes interested in it much later, towards the end of high school. The background of early identification and pattern can often be a pattern carried by family or other close relatives, childhood book or film experiences. In such cases, the young person usually feels an attraction to certain external signs of identity (uniform, weapons).. Before the regime change, however, the social benefit of the career was a particularly important objective factor when choosing a career, as the military career functioned as a social mobility factor with its help.
