Abstrakt: In the 21st century, previously unseen processes could be identified in the security environment, one element of which was extremely unexpected and rapidly changes in the security situation. In the rapidly changing security environment, it has become increasingly important to define the future, that is, to predict future challenges, risks and threats, which is necessary for a country to be able to respond to emerging threats. In security studies, there are various methods (e.g. matrix analysis) available to define the current security environment, which are only limited in their ability to present the future. Therefore, the author examined future research (futurology), how can it be used to determine the future in the field of security? In his brief analysis of futurology, he examined the differences between forecasting and visioning the future. During the analysis of futures research analysis methods, he emphasized the procedures that are suitable for predicting changes in the security environment, as well as for determining the future security situation.

Abstrakt: The issue of gray zone is an increasingly important issue in the current dynamic security environment, which characterizes the current security challenges. Actors exploit this space to pursue their interests through operations that are below the threshold of direct armed encounter. The concept of the gray zone was first characterised in an official document in the JP in 2010; in the European area, the issue began to be discussed after the annexation of the Crimean Peninsula. At present, the issue of the gray zone is not sufficiently characterised in the security strategies of the individual states of the European space, although the issue of ´hybrid war is mentioned in most of them.

Abstrakt: The author's goal is to inform readers about the issue of physical security, which is part of the security management of an organization. Within this issue, it describes the security sector, where the sub-sector, namely physical security, is discussed in more detail. We describe how it can affect the fulfilment of an organisation's objectives as a result of carrying out various activities (in order to protect people, objects of critical infrastructure). The issue of security management is nowadays dealt with by many people, it is also the case in military practice. The paper can be an inspiration for the reader in his daily work and helpful in the framework of command and control in a military organization.

Abstrakt: The Border Guard is a formation established to protect the state's borders on land and at sea and to control border traffic, in accordance with the interests of national security. Protection of the state border is an important tool ensuring the cohesion and territorial, social and economic integrity of the state. Currently, there is a need to unify the system responsible for ensuring security in every sphere of the state's functioning. In this context, the protection of the state border is an integral element of the state security policy, which, depending on the type of challenges and threats, can be divided into military, economic, foreign, social and ecological policy. The result of these efforts is an attempt to unify the existing legal, organizational and institutional order. An attempt to classify border protection systems created by states into one of these varieties of security policy leads to the conclusion that they belong to military, economic and social policy.
