Abstrakt: The paper deals with the issue of project management and its use in the conditions of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic. In the first part of the paper the author defines defence planning and project management processes that are carried out in the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic. The second part of the paper is devoted to the contexts of the project management issues in the conditions of the military. In the conclusion of the paper, the author points out the need for knowledge of project management processes and their use in projects in the Ministry of Defence.
