Abstrakt: This paper deals with the specific managerial competences of commander under the circumstances in armed forces and public administration with the regard to the new even trendy phenomena of leadership, or rather commandership. This paper further discusses the key competencies of the leader and following from necessary, personal conditions and needs essential for education, respectively forming or directing those key competences under the circumstances in the armed forces.

Abstrakt: Among the dispositional groups of the state paramilitary security system, the police are perceived by society to the greatest extent as a restrictive institution. Representatives of this formation are often associated with demanding, controlling, interfering and punishing, although they were called to help citizens and care for public safety and order. Very important from the point of view of qualifications to serve in the Police, apart from the substantive and skilful preparation of a policeman, is his approach to serving the society. A police officer, in order to be able to fulfill his official duties as honestly as possible, was provided by the state with a special scope of powers and duties, allowing for interference with the rights and freedoms of citizens.

Abstrakt: This article with the title Innovative Approach to Language Testing deals with a new approach to language testing at the Department of Languages. It focuses on establishing an item bank with individual subtests with the same specification and construction for full-time and combined studies. The language level is based on The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – specialist vocabulary level B2. The comparison of percentage success rate of full-time and part-time students was followed. The main objective of data collection was supported by information technology. The tests were administered in all types of study and the output of percentage success rate of respondents was found out as well as the possible dependency between the percentage success rate of the groups.

Abstrakt: The nature of the profession of a soldier, serving in any rank corps, places high demands on each individual. The general requirements for personal qualities, abilities and skills for service in the modern armed forces are similar in all armies of democratic countries and undergo approximately the same development. Efforts to educate and develop future military officers aim to produce highly competent, ethical and effective leaders who will serve the nation. But while there is general agreement about the desired outcomes, the underlying developmental processes associated with those outcomes are not well understood. The current and future needs of the military profession require a level of personal maturity.
