Abstrakt: The article presents perspectives on the issues related to planning of military engineer support of an operation. Its content is focused on the characterization of certain facts and relationships related to planning of military engineer support of an operation within a brigade combat team staff. The aim of the article is not „to discover a discovered“, but to contribute to an increase in the efficiency of the command and control process. Based on the clarification of a place and a role of Military Engineers members in a brigade combat team staff and their activities in individual phases of an operation planning (What are inputs for a planning? What are their particular activities? What could be outputs of their activities?) then formulate a scope of competencies on a readiness of these Military Engineers officers, who are destined to a brigade combat team staff during the operation planning.

Abstrakt: This paper deals with the issue of feeding soldiers in field and combat conditions. It presents a brief overview of the history of this form of food with emphasis on the use of canned food. It characterizes a long-used provision intended for all-day individual catering for soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic "PODAP". It points to the current demand for modernization of this form of catering. It presents the views and practice experiences of professional soldiers with the use of "PODAP" obtained from empirical research, recapitulates the results of research and formulates conclusions and recommendations for theory as well as for practice. The paper is the result of the solution of the study "Modernization of the emergency dose of food for members of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic" solved at the Department of Logistics of the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš.

Abstrakt: Contemporary human civilisation, whose current development is affected in all directions by deepening globalization, faces many security challenges, threats, risks, and challenges. For this reason, today, at the beginning of the third decade of the third millennium, solving security problems is part of the management processes at all levels and in all areas of life of current human society, not just at the state level. In order to be able to solve the security problems, eliminate security threats and risks and face new security challenges, man necessarily needs adequate knowledge, experience, methodological and other tools and means – he needs security theory. Therefore, the author, using relevant methods of scientific research, discusses in this article the need for safety theory.

Abstrakt: The article deals with the possible determination of obtaining information method and data to find the requirements for unmanned ground vehicles for reconnaissance and surveillance units. The article emphasizes the specification of general capabilities and features of reconnaissance and surveillance, which serve to define the requirements for unmanned ground vehicles. For the same reason, the article examines the individual environments that may affect the determination of requirements. Using the example of methods using cognitive maps, the mutual correlation of the researched issue is shown.
